New Catalog Collections

During this summer period, the hydroweb.next catalogue continues to expand. The hydroweb.next team announces the release of two new collections, each accompanying a scientific publication that is currently being prepared or revised:

Both collections are based on SWOT products. The first provides a mean elevation of lake surfaces for a selection of roughly 1,300 large lakes and can be seen as a proxy for the geoid elevation beneath these lakes. The second provides an actual reconstruction of the so‑called “dry” bathymetry of river beds—that is, the elevation range between the lowest and highest surface measurements—and can be used for 1D river modeling.

Dear users,

The hydroweb.next team is delighted to announce the release of a new collection on their platform: annual land cover maps (OSO) for metropolitan France.

These maps can be directly downloaded or previewed on an interactive map directly on the platform. Maps from 2016 to 2024 is already available, and future annual maps will be added as soon as they are produced.

We invite you to explore them on the platform without delay at https://hydroweb.next.theia-land.fr/.

Feature Updates

Dear users,

A new functionality has just been deployed on our platform: the "Layers" drawer, accessible from the Map View. It allows you to directly manipulate and re-organize the several layers in your workspace. This panel complements the "Workspace" panel.

Try it out and tell us what you think.

Dear Users,

Welcome to the newly redesigned hydroweb.next website!

Our fresh look is all about delivering a clearer, more intuitive browsing experience. While the redesign focuses primarily on usability, the core features from the original version have been largely re‑implemented, so you’ll find everything you relied on—now in a cleaner, easier‑to‑navigate format. This isn’t the end of the story. Our development team will keep building on the platform, adding new capabilities and improvements over time.

We’d love to hear what you think. Please share your thoughts through the new “Give Us Feedback” tab—we’re excited to evolve the site together with you.

Signed, the hydroweb.next team
