The S2Shores dataset provides elevation world maps. It includes the S2Shores coastal bathymetry derived from satellite images and a blended product which is the GEBCO elevation map blended nearshore with the S2Shores_depth product.
S2Shores is a new python library made for bathymetry inversion from waves carateristics and was used to produce this dataset using the Sentinel-2 L1C products to derive the nearshore depths.
Can’t be used for Navigation or Nautical charts.
The dataset was co-generated by LEGOS and CNES, thanks to CNES HPC resources and GEBCO data.
